3G Astro Turf Pitch
An immaculate FA approved floodlit 3G synthetic turf pitch. It can be either used as a full-size pitch or 2 halves. A draw curtain is used to divide both halves.
Swimming Pool
The pool is 20m long x 8m wide
It is 2m deep in the deep end, and 1m deep at the shallow end. The floor is sloping between the two depths.
Male and female changing rooms and Unisex showers
Swim lanes can be added if required.
Tennis Courts
Skipton Tennis Centre has 5 outdoor courts, 3 of which are floodlit. The courts are available for hire for non-members.
South Craven have 3 brilliant Playrite carpet Tennis courts, which are also floodlit and Upper Wharfedale have 2 tarmac courts. Equipment can be borrowed, but we would need prior warning before your booking.
Outdoor Multi Use Games Area
Playrite Match Play 2 carpet surface. The MUGA can be used as a full-size Football pitch for juniors, Netball or a Hockey pitch. Tennis can be also played on the surface, with a total of 3 courts.

Indoor Sports Halls
Fantastic indoor sports hall at both South Craven School and Upper Wharfedale School. Multiline courts for Football, Netball, Basketball, Tennis & Badminton. Plus, full Cricket lanes perfect for winter nets!
Badminton Tent
This space was built as a badminton hall. However, it is popular with children’s sports clubs as it is slightly smaller than the main hall. It is bright and airy due to the light domed roof. There are 3 courts in total.
Gymnastics Hall
Fully equipped school gym with a full sprung floor. This is space can also be used for small group sessions for many other sports and community groups.
Dance Studio
This dance studio is perfect for any dance school, team, or crew! Fully sprung floor, with floor to ceiling mirrors and blacked out windows and walls. This space can also be used for classes such as Yoga and Pilates.
Fitness Suite
A space ideal for fitness classes such as Spin, Body Pump, Kettlebells, Yoga and Pilates. Equipped with a weights room and spin bikes.
Theatres
The Main Hall at Upper Wharfedale has a full sound system and lighting with tiered seating for 160 people and stage.
Conference Rooms
Conference rooms at both SCS & UWS are perfect spaces for meetings, training, small functions and community groups. Regular meeting table layout can seat 30 people. A cinema style can seat 50 people. We will work with you to make sure meet your needs.
Projectors screens and white boards are both available for use.
UWS – has a fully equipped kitchen and a separate private meeting room
Both SCS & UWS have separate toilet facilities for these area.
Community Rooms
Great spaces for community groups, functions, children’s parties, training and meetings. A space with Interactive boards, a fully equipped and functioning Kitchen, and separate entrance to the school directly by the main car park.

Specialist Classrooms
South Craven and Upper Wharfedale both have specialist classrooms that can be hired. From Food tech, IT & Music spaces.
